ANN'S LETTER OF GRATITUDE

My letter of gratitude to all my Wonderful yoga students and teachers at Colts Neck Yoga,

When I look back to my first hot yoga class as a student and now many years later as a Hot yoga teacher/ Owner, so many thoughts, emotions and strong feelings come to mind. First of all, the passion of moving and breathing on my mat after my hips were replaced and being so very grateful to my brother, Jeff for telling me after taking his first hot yoga class that I was just going to love hot yoga!! Well, that my friends was an understatement to say the least!!

It was love at first sweat!! I felt alive again and was so happy to have found a studio I loved and a great teacher like Michelle Del Presto!! I just knew deep in my heart that I belonged there. Well, fast forward to me completing a two year mentorship and then getting my teacher certification and taking over as the Owner and Lead Hot yoga Instructor at Colts Neck Yoga.

Since then, 2005 I have enjoyed teaching each and every one of you. It has been my passion to help others and see the joy on their faces after practicing and the positive changes in each student each time they came to practice with me. Training teachers was also sheer joy, hard work and I learned so much and loved every minute of my Teacher Trainings. All my teachers take just as much pride as I do in taking their students to that next level each and every time they walked through those doors and onto their mats .

Our yoga journey has been astounding and I am humbly grateful to all of you. Howver, I will be moving on and Colts Neck Yoga will be closing it's doors on Sept 30, 2018, It's time to move on.

The love, joy, healing and growing will never end. I will continue my yoga journey in a new and different way. I hope our paths will meet again on this amazing road. I will be continuing to teach, train , do workshops and private sessions. So, stay in touch anytime.

      HOT YOGA- THIS INVIGORATING CLASS IS  DESIGNED TO GIVE YOU A COMPLETE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT DETOXIFICATION AND REJUVENATION. A VERY THOROUGH ASANA PRACTICE WHICH INCLUDES PRANAYAMA, SUN SALUTATIONS, BALANCING POSES, A FEW INVERSIONS, AND A COMPLETE FLOOR SERIES WHICH INCLUDES SPINE STRENGTHENING POSTURES, STRETCHING AND BREATHING. THIS CLASS IS ALSO DONE IN 45, 60, 75 MINUT

BALLET-BARRE YOGA/STRETCH- A 90 MIN CLASS WHICH STARTS ON THE FLOOR WITH BREATHING, SPINE STRENGTHENING YOGA POSES, HIP OPENERS AND CORE WORK. WE THEN DO A VERY BASIC TRADITIONAL BALLET-BARRE WHICH HELPS WITH POSTURE, BALANCE AND ALIGNMENT.

FORM CLASS/WORKSHOP- THIS CLASS WILL FOCUS ON THE FORM, BREATH AND ALIGNMENT OF EACH AND EVERY POSE IN THE ENTIRE HOT YOGA SERIES . WE WILL GO SLOWLY AND WORK ON THE DEATILS OF THE POSES. THE ROOM WILL BE WARM , NOT HOT. ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. THE 300-HOUR HOT YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

The CNY 300-HOUR HOT FLOW/HOTYOGA TEACHER TRAINING! This training will go deeper on all levels. We will be including more on the 5 categories of asana, creating and building vinyasa  flow sequences and classes and incorporating the Eight Limbs of Yoga into your teaching.  Building upon the 200-hour training each trainee will be coming up with their own flow sequences and developing their own unique flow style.

Ann will be helping the trainees to teach all levels-from beginner to advanced  and learning how to teach their students a basic hot flow to a more advanced level class which encompasses more advanced asanas and breathing techniques.  Kathy will be focusing more on meditation and exploring a much more detailed view of the bodily systems, chakras,  some basics of kundalini yoga.

This 300 hour teacher training will be all inclusive and will build your confidence as a vinyasa flow and hot yoga teacher. It will be all-inclusive and life-changing on every level both on and off the mat.

Pre-requisite for the 300-hour- You must be a registered 200-hour teacher with Yoga Alliance and have taught a minimum of 100 hours. When you complete this training you will be eligible to register as a RYT-500 with Yoga Alliance.

Kathy Yocum-licensed acupuncturist in NYC is leading this training with Ann. Her experience of the body , mind and spirit is extensive.

 

 

 

The 200-Hour Hot Yoga/Vinyasa flow Teacher Training

This all inclusive training will prepare you in every way to teach yoga and to deepen your yoga practice. We include, the 8 Limbs of yoga, the 5 steps of Hatha yoga, details on pranayama and asana. Yoga philosophy and the chakras are included, as well as anatomy and physiology of the body and how it relates to your asana practice.

We work on vocal dynamics and breathwork so that each trainee feels totaly prepared to teach a 60, 75 or 90 minute hot yoga/flow sequence.

We are scheduling our next Teacher training for the fall- 2018.
